Dear Santa...

So I came home from work late one night, and found this big dry-erase board in my living room. The kids had used it to make a christmas list for santa claus. It made me laugh so I copied it all down word for word and I even included the misspellings, which I think make it even cuter. I highlighted the ones I like the most. So here is what the girls wrote...

"Dear Santa what we want for chrismas is JB music (Justin Bieber), rapunzel castle, rapunzel doll, candy, rapunzel puzzle, battries for my dog, new clothes, a ipod, a reel dog, a extra room for me, new doll, wigs, a magic tresure box, slow globes, rapunzel blanket, 10 flashlits, fat cat tickets, rapunzel back pack, new shoos, moovies, books, trains for tyler, new costooms, posters, dresses, blankets, church doll house, a doll house that looks like our house, picturs, money 20 dollers and 50 sents, trofies that look reel, two club houses, necleses, new clothes for our parents, glow paper, silly bands, makup, new bed sheets, markers, JB lipstik, forty cars, stuff animals, little pillow pets, new radio, big shaped erasers, disney dolls, a fone that has JB's number in it, a farm with extra horses in it, a wii with maryo party, flower stickers, money to go to gymnasticks for Kate, tracks for the trains, braslets, prity flowers, crayons, toothpaste and brush, a camara, If you can not get all thees presents we can get them next chrismas. Glow stars, school suplize, pajamas, pianoe, lite for ty, a toy gun, a moter scooder, fore white bords, games, coloring paper, two camara, barby, kees for our house, more room for thees toys, crowns, a BYU ticket for dad, a JB pillow blanket, we love you santa and mrs. clos! Heart shay and kate."

I laughed when I read this and had to write it down so the girls could read it when they got older. Does anyone know where I can get a church doll house? Ha ha And trophies that look real, not the fake ones. Too funny.

Halloween 2011

The Annual Christensen Halloween Party 2011
Aaron and I went as the Phantom and Christine. Thanks to Jenny and Jill Cawley for lending us our costumes!

We always take the kids to the dinosaur park for tricks and treats.

Corn Maze Field Trip

Kate's preschool went on a field trip to this fun corn maze. She got to ride on the bus for the first time and dig for candy, play games, and go down this enormous slide. Then afterward they took us to a fancy restaurant and fed us quesadillas and chips and salsa.

Waterfall Canyon

We took a hike up waterfall canyon. Tyler only made it halfway so he and I played in the water while Aaron and the girls hiked to the top. Aaron had taken pictures of the waterfall, but then about 2 weeks ago someone broke into his car and stole his blackberry. They also took his temple clothes which makes me laugh because they thought the bag had electronics in it. I guess the jokes on them! "get thee to the temple and repent thief"! They didn't just break one window, they broke two so it cost twice as much to fix, so thanks for that!

Happy 12th Anniversary

For our 12th Anniversary we stayed at a condo in Bear Lake for the weekend. We had dinner at the Olive Garden, then drove to the grocery store and picked us up some delicious steaks for the next evening. Aaron grilled us dinner the second night and it was better than eatin out! The lake was cold, but at least it wasn't crowded. We wanted to rent a tandem bike, but couldn't find one, so we spent the day at the dock. This was the 10 year anniversary of 9-11 and since we were married on 9-11 we always watch the news re-broadcast it. No kids this time, just us.

We couldn't leave until we got those famous raspberry shakes from La Beau's.

First Day of Preschool

Kate's first day of preschool. She has had so much fun there. Teacher Mitzy is a lot of fun and Kate feels like a big girl finally.

Random

I came home from work one night and found Kate asleep under her bed. This made me laugh.

Chillin with grandpa at the Payne Family Reunion

Tyler's 3rd birthday with Thomas The Train cake.

TRAINS, TRAINS, AND MORE TRAINS

We went with cousins to see the trains at the Union Station since that is Tyler's passion in life.

I call this next picture "OVERWHELMED"!

This summer we took the kiddies to see the mini trains in Farmington. Always a good time.

5K

This is Shaylee and Jesse crossing the finish line during our family 5K run for diabetes. My family is awesome and they all set this up and participated in the Miller 5k Run for Diabetes. This was actually back in June, I'm a little behind in blogging our entire summer. Jenny made us all purple t-shirts that said "team Shaylee". A big thanks to my sister Becky, this was all her idea! I know this is 5 months too late, but Shaylee and I want to give my family a big thank you for supporting us. Everyone did great!

Arianne and Sarah crossing the finish line.

I admire Shaylee for having such a great attitude about her disease. She never complains about it. One day I hope that there will be a cure for type 1 diabetes, but for now they have really come a long way in keeping kids healthy.
