My New Nieces
My sister Jenny and her husband adopted two little girls last week. The baby's name is Alexis and the other is Brecken. They were sealed to Jenny and Lee in the Salt Lake Temple last Friday and we got to go watch. It was so much fun to see these cute little girls sealed to their parents.

The Living Planet Aquarium
We went to the Living Aquarium in Sandy with my sister Jenny and her kids. It was definitely worth the drive. The next picture is of the octopus they have there. You can see his creepy eye in this photo.
The Sting Rays were so friendly. They love to be touched. This one kept jumping up at Mathew and he would flap his 'wing' as he swam by so people would touch it. I touched one. It was slimy.
See, he sticks his flipper out so people can touch him.
Matt, Ty, Brecken, Kate, Shay, Jess, and Carston.
The penguins were funny. They swim right up to the glass.

Summer Fun List
Shaylee and I made summer wish lists of all the things we want to do this year. This pathetic garden is one of mine.
Shaylee was determined to learn how to ride her bike so we went to the church parking lot and in 20 minutes she had it. This isn't her bike, she had to practice on a smaller bike before she could have courage to ride her own 'bigger' bike. Now she is a bike riding champion. She rides every day and we have to take her bike with us in the car everywhere we go. Knock one off Shay's list!
Wind Storm
There was a terrible wind storm a few weeks ago and it broke the branches off a lot of trees in our neighborhood. It was an eerie night. It was so strong it blew over our BBQ grill and our neighbors trampoline blew away and landed in someone's yard 8 houses down. CRAZY weather around here. I don't dare plant a peach tree. I don't think it will survive.

Memorial Day Hike
School's Out

Shaylee graduated 1st grade. Mrs. Brown was her teacher. Grandma Lorna is retired so Shay won't be going back to T.O. Smith Elementary. She was so sad the last week of school. She said she cried when she realized she wasn't going to see her friends at that school anymore.
Shaylee made the "Wall of Fame". Or they call it "Citizen of the Month."
She was also selected for the "Academic Award in Language Arts." Only one girl and one boy from each class is chosen. This is her receiving the award at the assembly.
Eggs.....sunny side up!
A few weeks ago, Kate and Tyler got out 4 cartons of eggs and had themselves a pretty good time cracking them on the kitchen floor. Now this photo doesn't do justice. You can see the egg yolks, but what you don't see is the egg whites smeared all over. And the towel in the back, is their attempt to clean it up. They also threw some out the glass sliding door and onto the deck, but some of them missed and broke on my carpet. The house stunk of eggs for days after. Took me all morning to clean it all up. I had to mop....twice. One day I will laugh at this. One day.

Happy 7th!

Shaylee turned 7 last week and she wanted to go to the Mayan for her birthday. It's her favorite restaurant. She got a bike and the zhu zhu pet play-town. She got to play with her cousins and eat our favorite cake from Lee's marketplace. The best birthday cake we've ever had! Mother's Day was awesome. Aaron and the kids drew me some pictures and made me dinner. Then I woke up this morning and it's raining on my day off. This lawn is never getting mowed.

I wish.....
So I realize that my blog is pretty boring and I don't write much....last night I was driving home from work and I was thinking about all the things I wish I could change in the world - besides world hunger and world peace - so here are some things I wish......
I wish I had taken that trip to Europe in High School
I wish I had never quit piano
I wish it was legal to keep monkeys as pets
I wish Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory was real and that there really was a river of chocolate
Sometimes I really wish that I was Walt Disney
I wish messes cleaned themselves up
I wish you could always leave your doors unlocked
I wish there was no sickness
I wish I was as convincing as Frank Abignale
I wish land really was "FREE"
I wish insurance covered EVERYTHING.....I would look a whole lot different if insurance covered everything!
I wish kids came with cages and remote controls
I wish tomatoes were in season all year round
I wish I had more to say....
THE END
