Spring

We FINALLY got to go to the park!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carnival Birthday

Shaylee turned 8! We had a birthday carnival and thanks to Jenny, Jesse, and Matt it turned out great! They had a cotton candy maker, popcorn popper and hot dog cooker. The kids played carnival games and won tickets and at the end, they used their tickets to buy concessions and prizes. Shaylee loved it all and had a very memorable 8th birthday. She gets baptized at the end of the month with her cousin Arianne. Both girls are so excited and so are the moms!

Face painting was a hit.

Talent Show

Shaylee was in the talent show at her school. She did gymnastics with some friends to "Dynamite". They had a parents night. It was so fun and entertaining. It was the most Justin Bieber I'd heard in one night.

Disneyland

Well this is our Disneyland trip. The weather was gorgeous, there were palm trees and Jack in the Box everywhere! We didn't take Tyler with us, but he had a good time with Aunt Jayne and Grandma Sheryn. We came home to a blizzard and the house was 40 degrees! Brrrrr.

They were filming a commercial one morning before the park opened so I snapped a pic. All the people in this photo are actors. Except for Sleeping Beauty....she's real.

Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.

Dinner at Johnny Rockets. I love 50's diners and I miss having a Galaxy in Utah.

We stayed at the Peacock. Very cute.

Newport Beach. My favorite part of the trip. The number one most asked question on the trip? It was not "are we there yet". The girls kept asking "are there sharks?"

We stayed here at the Windam in St. George the first night. Soooo nice.

And they lived happily ever after.

Lysabeth's Favorite Things

Oprah does a show of her "favorite things" and now...I do too! So I want to share a couple of my absolute favorite things:

The 1969 Jeans from GAP

My favorite jeans! They are mid-rise, stretch denim and come in long sizes! Every pair of jeans in every store across america comes in low-rise which I hate. I don't like to exaggerate the muffin top, I like to tuck everything in. Love em.

Ballmania Lip Balm

Premium lip balm SPF-20. I found this lip balm in the gift shop at the Luxor Hotel in Vegas. It's the best lip balm in the world! It lasts all day and is pure medicine for your lips. I cannot live without it. I have to buy it on ebay now since my Vegas one ran out. Not your mama's blistex.

Katy Perry Black Shatter Nailpolish

This one is new for me. I bought some two days ago and I love it! You paint your nails any color you want, and then apply the black on top and it shatters and makes this animal print design. It really works. I'm a fan. I read a newspaper article on it a few weeks ago, about how salons can't keep it in stock since it's so popular. I can see why.

Lindor Truffles

Most delicious chocolate treat in the world. Melts in your mouth....lasts only a few minutes...cuz I eat them all!

Settlers of Catan

I love this game, but have not played it in ages. It's fun and addicting. It's like monopoly tho and takes a couple hours to play. Love it.

Wedding Present

A neighbor gave this crock pot to us for a wedding present 11 years ago. I still have it and we still use it once a week! The best wedding present to give someone. I cannot live without it.

Julie and Julia

Move over Top Gun, there's a new favorite movie of mine! I love food and Julia Child and that makes this my new favorite movie. I've tried making some of her recipes and they are amazing. Now I make my scrambled eggs Julia style.

Okay bloggers that's it! Now I want to see some of your favorite things!

It's been a while

You see this old man playing the organ? Well that's me, every other Sunday. That's my new calling. Playing the piano and the organ are NOT the same thing. I like playing the piano. I do not like playing the organ.

Nothing new going on at the Christensen house. Shaylee is taking gymnastics and loves it! She gets better every week. She starts soccer again in 2 weeks. I am not looking forward to freezing cold rainy soccer games. Kate starts preschool in the fall, that is if I can get her in anywhere. Everyone's booked. Tyler is so much fun. He is a really cool kid. He turns 3 this year and I think we will take him to ride the trains in Farmington. I thought that he would be into Star Wars and super heros, but he likes trains. Aaron is still working for Marketstar and loves it. He is nervously awating a new calling...hee hee hee. CO-ORGANIST! Just kidding. And I still work at Cinemark and nervously waiting to meet my new boss. Stay tuned.

Surviving Christmas

Well, we survived Christmas. Aaron was out of town for 6 weeks for work. He had to go to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania every week for 6 weeks right during the Holidays. It's one of those things where you're glad he did it AFTER it's over. But we survived none-the-less. The kids had a wonderful Christmas. Tyler finally got his cozy coupe and trains and the girls got a giant size barbie dollhouse. Every girl needs a dollhouse.

We took the kids sledding for New Years Eve. I've never been so cold in my life. It must have only been 13 degrees outside that day.

We finally got to ride the front runner to Salt Lake to see the lights. This is Tyler anxiously waiting for the train. He loves trains. You can see it on his face.

The girls at temple square.
